About Me

As someone who has grown from my own personal adversity and experiences of inequity, I am passionate about clients embracing their true selves and living life aligned with their true identity and values.

I am a first generation immigrant from Malaysia having settled to Canada at the age of three, and have lived experience with interracial relationships and parenting. I am also an advocate for loved ones with ADHD. Not just a therapist, I’m a trail runner, amateur gardener and lover of dogs and travel!

In addition to counselling, I have 18 years of meaningful frontline experience supporting adults, children, youth and families impacted by conflict, trauma, violence and sexual assault. It is through this work that I have a lived understanding of not just the unique occupational stressors of helping professionals and first responders, but also how the intersection of gender and race influences those experiences.

The Story Behind the Name

Mid-Autumn is revered in Chinese culture as it symbolizes growth and change. It is also a season of balance and harmony, hope and unity and a time to celebrate community and connection.
